i%26#39;m going to pinang at the end of june.Can anyone tell me the price of alchohol? would i be better off buying it duty free at the airport?

Yes. In general, alcohol drinks in bars and hotels here are comparatively more expensive than in western countries.

Duty free island. Vodka, whisky, Bacardi etc 5GBP a litre, 24 cans of beer, about the same.

Definitely buy duty free alcohol at airport. If you are into wine, buy before leaving Australia as wine selection is poor in airports and many you can find in shops and restaurants are Aussie brands anyway.
