Please give more information regarding Tune Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on cleanliness and location?
Tune Hotel
You can go to www.tunehotels.com for more info. The concept of Tune hotels is, like its parent company Air Asia, no frills accommodation. For RM9.99 a night, you get a good bed and shower and a ceiling fan. You have to pay for air-con, shower kit and towel.
Good bargain, you bet, will see more backpackers upgrading from their usual guest houses to this hotel. Better bed (King Koil pocketed mattress). Better shower.
Tune Hotel
Hi, cleanliness should be no problem.
Location:- located along Jalan Sultan Ismail, with a shopping mall across-Maju Junction. From Maju Junction, after Mara Building, is another one of KL%26#39;s rather old shopping complex- Pertama Complex, and on its annexe, there are KFC, and also one of KL%26#39;s notable steak house-The Ship.
From here, one can see the Sogo department store, and where it is located, is the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Road (TAR Road) with rows of shophouses, buildings housing shops selling shoes, textiles, eateries, nick nacks, bazaar in its attendant lanes. This road stretches upto Jalan Tun Perak, where further across is the Independence Square, and the colonial moorish architecture of the present HIgh Court and Magistrate Courts.
Back at Tune Hotel, your closest public transport is either the monorail at Medan Tuanku station or the LRT at Sultan Ismail station.
The facade of Tune Hotel is easily recognisable by AirAsia corporate colour with streaks of red interlined by white coloured, which certaintly given more life to this building, which was once a hospital(!).
