kuala lumpur

Hi,

Looking for a cool hotel in dowtown Kl,was hoping if anyone can help me with the crowne plaza, sheraton, and the regent.

Thanks

kuala lumpur

Sheraton Imperial: One of my favorite hotels in KL. Rooms are VERY spacious, comfortable fittings and a large bathroom. Service is wonderful too. Not happy with the location though, but there is a commuter train station within walking distance and cabs are easy to get.

Regent: Wonderful hotel, located in the Bukit Bintang area. Very close to most major malls in KL and good hotel restaurants.

Have stayed at the Sheraton. The suites are excellent. Pool area quite pleasant. Its only let down is the location. Have you considered the Mandarin Oriental right next to Petronas towers, park, shopping and restaurants

thank you folks for your reply,i think the regent works for us.

Go for the following in this order (of course highest is most priciest):

Mandarin Oriental

JW Marriot

Westin

shangri-la

Nikko

Renaissance

Equatorial

They are downtown and near shopping and LRT stations.

KL Hilton is good and new too but is a little far.

Sheraton Imperial is a little off too. Going out of KL city center

Hi

Looking for a good hotel near KL airport. Considered the Mandarin but seemed too far away from airport? Wish to stay one night in Changi Singapore and one night in Malacca (whilst staying KL). What is the best way of traveling to both of these from KL and can you give us an idea of travel time and distances please, Thanks

Why do you wanna stay at changi Singapore? But anyway. You can take a coach from either puduraya bus station or pasarakyat bus station in KL. The price of coaches range from RM30-RM100.

RM 30 coaches: - about 26 seaters, shared/ no TV screen. usually 1 row of single seat and 2 rows together.

RM 80-100: Single, bigger seats, sometimes with massaging seats. Usually 16 seaters. Individual LCD. Choices of movies in Chinese, English, Korean, etc... Games, music. Food, coffee, tea, provided.

Journey from KL to Singapore takes 5-6 hours depending on traffic condition and speed of bus. And length of toilet break, food break, or other breaks.

The more expensive coaches are faster cos they only stop for abt 10 min toilet break once. The cheaper ones will stop once or twice, total abt 45 min for passengers to buy snacks and relieve themselves.

If you know when exactly you wanna return to KL, buy the return ticket in KL cos it%26#39;s usually almost half the price of if you buy from Singapore.

But of course the coaches dun go to changi. They usually stop at Golden mile on Beach Road. Take a taxi from there to changi will cost less than $10.

Hi,

Best way from KL to Melaka is coach, 2.5 hours, from Melaka to Singapore, coach takes about 4.5 hours. Melaka to Singapore has the Konsoritum and Transtar luxury coach option.

Many thanks Bedazzle and AlexMcca. Will certainly take the coaches. Stopping at Changi because my friend, whom I%26#39;m traveling with, was born and lived there for her first four years. Wants to see her birthplace. I wish to visit Malacca because of its magical history. We only have a day in each so any %26#39;must see%26#39; suggestions would be extremely welcome.

Can you recommend a good 4 or 5 star hotel in each location please? Thank you. Also do trains travel there?
