Thanks

Hotel for Honeymoon

Would recommend Parkroyal.

Hotel for Honeymoon

check out the E%26amp;O in georgetown, great hotel, wonderful service, good food

Hi

shame you can%26#39;t stretch to the RS.

Agree E%26amp;O is very nice, not beach, but all suites and less then half RS prices, plus you are near Gurney Drive etc, and the night markets are a cheap 20 mins away. If you must stay on the beach, the agree Parkroyal is good (RS%26#39;s cheaper sister next door Golden Sands), all near the action. The 3*s are nice hotels (and have stayed at several) but not really %26#39;honeymoon%26#39;. Search all the websites and to get yourself a good deal. Have Fun.

Thanks so much for all your help

Hi, agree with Parkroyal. Next to Shangri-La RS is Shangri-LA golden Sands-but make sure to get sea facing room; however, I find the pool here gets a bit too crowded.

A simple, though adequate, and belonging to E%26amp;O, is the Lone Pine Hotel, next to Shangri-La Golden Sands. It is Batu Ferringhi first hotel. When E%26amp;O took it over, they revamped some architecture, by adding some Balinese influence where ground floor rooms open to a lanai with a garden.

A fairly small resort hotel, with only three storeys, where rooms upstairs is assessed by flight of stairs. Only one simple-F%26amp;B outlet, but serving good food in a cosy homely atmosphere, as it was formerly a bungalow.

From its carpark area, one could see a small lane, with few row of shops, which leads onto the beach, where there are few value for money eateries, and for a smaller fraction of cost can dine on the beach with view of the ocean and also sunset- though tables are made from cast concrete.

Across the road, is a food court, serving Penang%26#39;s typical hawkers food.

Am not sure, when is your travel, and if an offer that RS is offering now is applicable to non-Malaysian-they are offering a package for a room with dinner and breakfast for two, including spa treatment for two at RM888nett per night-the catch--must be for minimum of 2 night stays, and the third night is free; but whether the third night includes breakfast is another catch.

That sounds great -how do I found out more about that deal??

I will be there Sept 17-22

Mutiara Beach Resort would be great for your honeymoon!

Hi Danielle

I%26#39;d recommend Parkroyal Hotel or the Lone Pine at Batu Ferringhi.

If you%26#39;d like to stay nearer to the Georgetown area, then go for E%26amp;O Hotel. G Hotel is lovely too.

the mutiara was taken over last year by the intercontinental hotels group and is still closed whilst they are doing a revamp of the place, was a wonderful hotel, if anyone knows when it is re opening, please let me know

dozy,

Its a long shot guessing when they will open again. Its Malaysia after all.

A good example of this is the 15 mile road between Langkawi Airport and the main town of Kuah, started 2 years ago, and nowhere near complete. Malay sub-contracters ?

No ..... Just the malay way !
