What should not be missed.....?

We%26#39;re heading to Malaysia in just 4 weeks time. We are spending the first 3 days n KL then over to Langkawi (Casa Del Mar and Bon Ton).

Is there anything at either of these locations that you feel should not be missed? Attractions, Buildings, Waterfalls, Beaches....anything...

Thanks

What should not be missed.....?

If you asked earlier, I would say, give Langkawi a miss... =) there%26#39;s nothing there you%26#39;ll miss not seeing.

But since you are going, then you%26#39;ll have to visit

what is wrong with langkawi, where would you suggest going to if not there.

There is nothing wrong with Langkawi its just that it is not your typical touristy holiday destination and is perhaps too quiet for some people who prefer a holiday with lots of night life/ bars/ clubs etc.

Sounds ideal to me, we live in devon uk and like to go somewhere quiet and not too commercialised and safe to wander round. Where have you stayed?

Hi

Langkawi is not commercialised at all and a very safe destination. Most of the night life is based in the hotels and is very low key and laid back.

I always stay at the Berjaya - this year will be my 6th visit so I guess you could say I am a bit biased towards Langkawi although I have travelled to many other destinations.

Have you booked Langkawi or just thinking about it?

Lesley

Definitely do the cable car...stunning views.

I suggest you rent a car at least one day. Drive to Pantai Pasir Tengorak --quiet lovely beach, on the road to the Datai. In the afternoon, look for the lady who runs a food stand at intersection where you turn left to pick up the road to the Datai,

she has great homebaked banana bread and fresh banana fritters.

If you%26#39;ll be there on a Sunday, stop by the Padang Matsirat night market. Have some snacks and get a whiff of durian, see how the locals shop.

Tanjung Rhu beach is also beautiful and a very nice drive as well --boatmen there will offer you an hour long island hop for 100 ringgit. we didnt bother but that might be fun.

Bon Ton is a special place. you may not want to leave it.

enjoy

Steady

We are just looking at options at the moment, for next year, like to do research in advance, so hopefully get right place

I would recommend you visit the Rice Museum (across the road from the CDM). Good for an hour or so. Then spend the rest of the day guilt-free chilling at the CDM

I do have to agree with Steady. Can%26#39;t say much about visiting the rice place. Boring !
