Hotel around railway station

Hi, we%26#39;re planning for a holiday in Dec and crossing from Sin to KL, we will use Senandung Malam depart from JB. Since the train left very late (+/-11:30), we are planning to take a rest at a hotel. Can anyone suggest a cheap and clean hotel within walking distance to the railway station ? We will travel with 2 kids and 1 infant. Also additional question, how far is the railway station from sin/mal immigration ? (We will leave for JB by bus from Sin).

It would be more convinence and faster to take the non stop express bus from north bridge road Singapore%26gt;KL..The bus will wait for you and take you to both immigrations for passport stamping.The bus frequency is very regular.Day and night service.,with stops for break and meal along the way to KL(travelling time about 6-7hours)

The normal bus from Singapore to JB required you to connect by seperate bus,waiting for bus from Singapore immigration 1st procedure ,then malaysian immigration 2 nd procedure + tagging along your luggage.

3 rd procedure then you need to wait for(+/-11.30pm) train resting at JB hotel.

By which .wasting time at hotel and waiting for train,the combined time

wasted will be more than enough to make the journey to KL by the express bus Singapore%26gt;KL.

The children will have to endure the suffering also.

Hi Leopang, many thx for the info, but since we%26#39;re travelling on a limited budget, then we might think this is the way we can save some money. But I will discuss with others about your idea. Meanwhile, I%26#39;m still waiting for the hotel names around the railway station, but should be the clean one....can anybody help ?

There are quite a number of hotel nearby the railway station and all within walking distance and very close to the railway station but can not remember the names:The railway station is within walking distance from the Malaysian Immigration(about 10 meter but you need to walk a great detour via a overhead bridge unless you walk on the pavement against the traffic.The JB railway station is very centralised located,hotel,restaurant,bus stand etc etc.

Since you are on budget and with KID:Go to Queen street for Buses to JB or take the MRT to Kranji..transfer to Bus to JB(Cause way link or 170 both buses stop at Singapore and Malaysia immigration and continue to JB ,main bus terminal,Larkin

Option: Continue to main Bus station Larkin,the bus hub to KL and all over Malaysia,plenty of express bus to KL on a regular basic

This way you will save on Hotel n travelling time and cheaper too
