We%26#39;ll be arriving in KL from Malacca at Puduraya bus station and we%26#39;ll be staying at Radius International Hotel. Could someone give advice what would be the best way to reach Radius hotel from Puduraya bus station? Can we walk it, I saw in the map that it%26#39;s quite small distance. I%26#39;m wondering if this true..
Please advise.. Many thanks!
Puduraya-Radius, can we walk it?Hi anl 81,
Puduraya to Radius Intl is at least 20 minutes walk. It can be tiring and unbearable walk especially during the day with strong sun and even at night with the humidity and the weight of your luggage.
One suggestion is to ask driver to drop you off before Swiss Garden Hotel where the intersection of Jalan bukit Bintang and Jalan Pudu is. That will save you 10 minutes walk and avoid the crowded and poluted Puduraya.
Turn left into Jalan Alor on your left after about 5 minutes walk along Jalan Bukit Bintang. Radius Hotel is at the junction after Jalan Alor.
Puduraya-Radius, can we walk it?Hi AlexMcca,
Thanks soo much for your advice!! It%26#39;s very helpful.. I appreciate it..
even from Puduraya bus station, which is a known black spot for taxis using sky high fixed prices, you should still easily get a taxi to take you the relatively short distance to Radius for RM10, which is just slightly over Euro 2.00. I’m not normally an advocate of supporting rip off taxi drivers, but after a bus journey and arriving in a strange city, with luggage to carry etc, I would bite the bullet and pay the RM10.
Alex, would the star-line LRT from Plaza Rakyat to Hang Tua and then switching to the monorail for Hang Tua to Bukit Bintang be an option for the above poster?
Is Plaza Rakyat the LRT station just down the road from Puduraya bus station ???
Hi all,
I doubt you can get a taxi for RM10 from Puduraya. In the day time and evening, Jalan Pudu and Jalan Bukit Bintang is very congested and so is the journey of the buses reaching the terminal. I suggest really to take that 10 min walk from opposite Swiss Garden unless you have heavy luggage, then bargain hard to pay no more than RM15!
The LRT station behind Puduraya is indeed Plaza Rakyat (supposed to be the station stop for the proposed Plaza Rakyat Mall which was abandoned due to poor location in a gridlock area). Taking the LRT will involve train change to Monorail in Hang Tuah Station. Not worth the hassle as Bukit Bintang station is about 5-10 min walk to Radius hotel as well!

RM15 minimal, for that short journey - even if I would walk it then !
