Hi I am planning on traveling to Malaysia -Indonesia- Thailand-and Hong Kong in early january--I am looking for any tips or advice to help me organize this !! Thanks

Not sure what kind of advice you are looking for specifically, as it is too broad.

For your routing between malaysia and Indonesia, MAS and Air Asia are your best options. For Malaysia and Thailand , you can choose TG, MAS or Air Asia from selected destinations or use train from North Malaysia to Southern Thailand (however, note that southern provinces are not safe for tourism recently, so do not stop over until close to Krabi.

There are many flights from bangkok or KL to Hong Kong on TG, MAS, CX or Air Asia (Macau). Alternatively, you can do Singapore to HKG either via CX, SQ or Tiger Airways.
