Hi, will be travelling to Penang in May. Is it advisible to rent a car and drive our own in Penang? What is the approximate cost for rental of vehicle? Thanks!

I%26#39;d say rent a car, if you are coming from Singapore driving in Penang is easy, its only very busy around Georgetown, the rest of the island is fairly quiet. Avoid Georgetown during rush hour.
Try to imagine a very mini Singapore, don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll find it a problem. Bit of a breeze really, not at all like KL.
If you%26#39;d like some adventure, I say rent a car and drive.
If you want convenience, then take a cab.
