getting from Mnt. kinabalu to Uncle Tan's in 1day?

what are the options of leaving the Mnt,. Kinabalu and getting to the Uncle Tan%26#39;s ops base at gum gum in time to catch their 2pm departure for the camp. Is this doable or should I have 1 day cusion for the travel.

I was told that some busses do dot drop off the passangers off during the travel. Please advise.

being back from Borneo, I can answer my question based on our experience:

We took a bus company SIDA from KK to Mt.Kinabalu and at the same time bought the ticket for the day we wanted to travel from Mt.Kinabalu to Gum Gum from SIDA which proved to be useful as the bus that picked us up from Mt.Kinabalu was full but our 2 seats.
