Will be in KL for 4 days in August staying at The Parkroyal Hotel. Can anyone advise if there is an opticians nearby? In the past have bought glasses in Bangkok. Does anyone know if prices are similiar/ Thanks.

Hi,

You can visit any any opticians in Lot 10 or Sungei Wang. Prices are always changing but surely cheaper than Uk and no need for appointment and follow up sort of things.

England Optical (only a Malaysian chain!) is the largest chain. Otherwise, just compare prices few optical shops in the malls before going for an eye test.

There%26#39;s bound to be optician at the Sungei Wang Plaza just directly opposite the hotel you%26#39;re staying.

The most well known Opticians%26#39; Chains are the England Optical and Focus Point. They both look similar from outside, reddish facade. Of course there are other smaller opticians, which are equally good if not better in price. What these chains have is a choice. You should visit Optical City by Focus Point at the IKANO power centre at the Curve shopping centre just for the breadth of its offering. They used to have another one at the Mid Valley but I think it%26#39;s closed down.
