Visiting Langkawi in two weeks. Love to experience locals doing massages on beaches like in Bali. Anyone been to non hotel spas for beauty treatments or located cheap local massage therapists on Langkawi. We are staying at Berjaya.
Cheap Massage/SpaYou don%26#39;t really see this on the beaches of Langkawi, not the way you do in Bali. Berjaya has its own massage place, but you pay resort prices. If you go to Pantai Cenang try the Beach Garden Resort. Massage there is 50RM for 30 minutes.
Cheap Massage/SpaFrancois,
Can you give us an idea of the prices for all over massage. How long does it take etc.
The BGR one is reasonable price.
Albertscat,
a Shiatsu massage 60 mn =RM120 and
a Aromatherapy 60mn =RM150
Have a nice day
Francois
Hello jetset23
You normally get brochures when you heard out from the airport or ferry, offering you cheap and good massages in some village. A singaporean friend of mine tried out some holistic massage and treatment and she was very dissapointed, although it was very cheap, the girls there didnt seem to know what to do. I would advise you to get a massage from the hotels, as they offer training to their masseurs before they start working. Can be slightly costlier, but you can expect to receive a good massage.
Aromatherapy 60 minute massage is 90MR at the Frangipani and it is given in a covered pergola on the beach.
Other 60 minute massages are 80 MR and 30 minutes are 45 MR
There are 2 of these huts operating until 8 pm and are open to non-residents
Hi!
I will be in Langkawi in July and found this website which provides some interesting info.
best-of-langkawi.com/langkawi-directory/DIRE…
There you can find some nice spas. Check out Ishan Spa, it looks great and apparently it was created by a major spa consultant in Asia.
