school holidays round the corner , my kiddos did so so in their exam as expected and my genius in the family scored highest for his math in the class, so the reward will be traveling to the furthest of the east coast of Malaysia for the first time, may be redang, perhentian , kapas, lang , have not decide yet,

target shortlisted are redang, perhentian or kapas, yeah my kiddos luvs the sea n sand, 2 of them voted Tioman the Best place we%26#39;d been , can%26#39;t get the clear water anywhere in sg, they have been practicing their snorkeling in the bathtub ever since came back from Tioman,lol.

where is the jetty to perhentian , redang or kapas?

Anyone know where in redang or perhentian that offer ala carte deal, we only need room, for food well anything goes for my family so long its edibles,for thing to do there we%26#39;ll find something to do.

we did trawl the web for redang n perhentian but most offer on package , we don%26#39;t like package and full board, we like free and easy because on package even my three years old will be charge 50% of the package n with kids they are unpredictable so better to go on free n easy . [we check the kapas web they offer ala carte deal.]

Hi Oali,

I think Redang is probably more suitable for family. Try Laguna Redang which can be very popular during school holiday.

Alternatively, go for Tuna Bay in Perhentian which is also suitable for family.

The individual web sites of the above resorts have details of transport options. For Redang, it is Merang (not Marang!!!) and for Perhentian, it is Kuala Besut. Redang is certainly closer than Perhentian if driving from the south.

thank for the infos, manage to find some room only website that is good, well the streak of backpacking in me does not lose thru. the years,

prefer a laid back ambiance rather a family circus resort theme as in sg there%26#39;s chock a blok of playground n pool so our traveling is always free n easy n prefer not to pay facilities that we never use .

I went to redang in june last year. Stayed at Berjaya Resort.

If ure frm singapore i suggest u just take a package for berjaya flights n resort. Really worth it coz its a really peaceful resort.

The food frm the resort%26#39;s restaurant r expensive. But not to worry!

There r a couple of restaurants outside the resort which is only 5 mints walk. Breakfast is included, only lunch %26amp; dinner u can hv outside. The seafoods are fantastic n they cost so cheap u cant believe it urself!
