What do you think of this itinerary? Am open to suggestions

Hi there,

What a dilema I am now in. Due to circumstances beyond our control we have an extra 3 days in KL.

My original plan was 5 nights at the Renaissance then 3 nights at the Mines.

Now with 11 days, I thought about doing Langkawi, but after doing the sums it works out too much. (I had already booked Air Asia flights KL - BKK)

So am thinking;

3 nights Genting, 5 nights KL (Renaissance) and 3 nights The Mines.

I have 4 children ages 14, 12, 5 and 18 months.

After KL we are off to Thailand for a month, just chilling .. have booked an apartment for the month. So I don%26#39;t mind being a bit hectic in KL and doing the fun things for the kids.

This is our second visit to KL. Last time we did Sunway Lagoon Resort, so not really fussed on going back there.

I appreciate any advice suggestions given.

Hi,

Am sure the kids will love Genting as there are quite a few things there to keep them occupied. Not sure about 3 days there though, it%26#39;s not really that big. An overnight would suffice and then you can take in SKY in the Theatre.

Times Square has a great indoor themepark which, IMO the rides beat Genting. You could do a day at the elephant sanctuary too where the kids can get into the river and help wash them! :)

If they like wildlife then there is aways the zoo or nature trips to see the monkeys etc.

Alternatively, why not head towards Taman Negara for some jungle trekking? Its not strenous at all for the kids (with the exception of your toddler!) You can go there for 2 nights and the journey there is just as much an adventure!!

Love the month in Thailand part of your itinerary. Think your right to give Langkawi a miss, as you say you can do your '; chilling '; in Thailand.

Have a great time.

3 nights at the Mines is a bit too long....where are you staying, the Mines Resort or Palace of the Golden Horses? Why not shorten it to 2 nights, and the extra night spend it at the Colmar Tropicale at Bukit Tinggit (near to Genting) right after Genting?

Check the website out http://www.berjayahills.com/ Then you can go visit elephants in Kuala Gandah, aka Elephant Sanctuary.
