Can anyone give me some advice on where to go in Malaysia in July with a 1 year old? Is Lankawi too wet at that time of year? How about sandflies?
We really want to be in a nice hotel but not too isolated with a choice of bars/restaurants for the evening.
Any tips or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi, with your preference criteria of having a choice of bars/restaurants, then it has to be Langkawi island.
There are not many choices when it comes to bars/restaurants on Tioman island.
