My partner and i are thinking of spending our honeymoon in Sabah in January, 2008. I am aware that this is the rainy season. Would like to hear from anyone that has travelled in January. Just wondering if it is like most places and only rains during the afternoons or if it rains all day.

I went in late december 2006 (monsoon season) and was a bit worried too. However my worries were not realised.
It was 30 degrees C everyday and of the 14 days we were there it poured down one in the afternoon for about 1/2 hour.
All other times the B....L...A....C.....K clouds would roll in with the sound and light show, at about 4pm, then stop and go away. Quite spectacular actually.
Dont let %26#39;The Seasons%26#39; bother you. Because they wont.
We went across to the east coast and it seemed to rain alot there,maybe the big hill (Kinabalu) stops most of it.
