beach at Melaka

is there a beach at Melaka? Would like to spend a few days in Malaysia from Singapore and was wondering what would be best way to do this

ANyone have any ideas

The beach is Melaka is probably not worth going there for. However, if you are going to Melaka and want to also go to the beach, try the following.

If you just want to go for a short break beach holiday, then east coast of Malay Peninsula such as Desaru and Cherating are closest to Singapore. For islands, Bintan Indonesia close to Singapore or Tioman,Pulau Besar, Sibu island close to Mersing in Johor are recommended.
