Weather in KK & West Sabah (Lankayan Island) in June

Hi. My husband %26amp; I are off to KK and Lankayan Island from mid to end of June. I thought that was the dry season in Sabah although I have seen contradicting posts saying that the weather is still pretty wet in June. Understand to expect thunderstorms in the afternoon but I%26#39;m hoping these occur in quick bursts and don%26#39;t last the whole day!

Responses appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hope this helps. We have been over to Sabah 7 times in the last 10 years, at various times of the year. We have always experienced rain at some time during our trips, but it has never ruined our time there. Usually short and heavy, we just accept it as part of being in a tropical climate and keeps everything clean and fresh.

Enjoy your stay, you%26#39;ll love it and don%26#39;t worry about the weather.

Hi MaxSyd99

Hartley_the_hare has pretty much summed it up - whether or not it%26#39;s technically the wet or dry season doesn%26#39;t matter - in any stretch of holiday you are sure to encounter at least a few instances of rain.

But, as the millions of tourist arrivals illustrate, this doesn%26#39;t put people off - in fact, the tropical rain storms are quite something to behold and is most certainly part of the Borneo rain forests. Thankfully, they do come and go in anything from a 30 min to a 2-hour down-pour and should therefore not upset your holiday plans.
