Rental Car in Langkawi

We are going to be in Lagkawi the second week of june:-) we are going to stay in The Datai and we would liket to rent a car for 1 day to look around, so the question is... where should we rent the car? can we book the car right now? how much is a good rate??

The Datai is pretty far away from the airport and town. Taxi rates from the jetty is about RM 40 - 50, and RM 40 from the airport. Car rental at the Datai is going for about RM 180. My advice would be to rent from the airport or jetty, else, inform the concierge that you would like to look around the island for a day, and they will rent you a car with or without a driver. If you are unfamiliar with the roads and traffic, take the driver along.

My wife and I rented a car from our hotel when we went to Langkawi. Just make sure that when you rent a car that all insurance is included. We paid 160RM for the car for a day. I%26#39;ll send you a private message with my Langkawi trip report :-)

You can rent a car at the airpotrt, grab a map from information counter and off you go...there aren%26#39;t many road networks in Langkawi...it%26#39;s easy..

Second week in June ?

Go down to Cenang or the airport to rent a car. Take your IDL or you will not be covered for insurance.

CAr rental is easily available at the airport. The map is easy to read as there aren%26#39;t many roads. I read the map while my boyfriend drives when we were there. Easy.

Booking online is more expensive.
