We have now booked our tickets in October to go to Singapore/Malaysia. The last week will be spent in Langkawi - just now finally deciding between Casa del Mar and Pelangi (if there are still spare rooms..). We then want to fly to Singapore. I looked at SilkAir but I can%26#39;t seem to be able to book a one way ticket leaving from Langkawi - only as part of a return. Has anyone used SilkAir as one way? Malaysian Airlines tickets can be bought with stop in KL. Any idea of what would be the best price-wise?
Thanks for all the tips and comments on the forums here - Always a great help!

Flights to Singapore
hi m dorph i have just checked all airlines out of Langkawi and it seems to me that not one of them has 1-way flights =AirAsia,Silk,Malaysia,or Singapore so it looks to me as you will have to book a return flight.

Flights to Singapore
malaysia Airlines no problem (via KL) you can book via their website www.malaysiaairline.com
I tried Silk Air for you: go to destinations; you can book Singapore-Langkawi one way but.. not the other way! My advice send them an email Silk Air is much cheaper as Malaysia Airlines
Singapore same cannot book on the site but for sure it is possible so send them an email also
One more question? You already booked your flight to Singapore have you booked on line or at a travelagency? Last one can change your ticket (depends on the rules) with a flight (open jaw) from Langkawi-Singapore.
good luck
kind regards from Langkawi
Hi
We are travelling to Langkawi in July and have booked Silkair from Singapore - Langkawi one way. We did this via Singpore Airlines website. We%26#39;ve booked Air Asia for the one way leg from Langkawi to KL. Having to fly from KL via Singapore home (LHR) as it works out much cheaper!
Kirsty,
Watch your baggage allowance on AirAsia. Singapore are a dream with this, very good rates.
We always found it cheaper and less hassle to book with SilkAir straight to Singapore, it also saved the transfer in KL.
Hope you have a great trip.
Thanks for your comments. Yes, it is easy to book one-way from Singapore to a whole range of destinations using the SilkAir website but from other destinations and back to Singapore is harder..
I got this answer when I filled in their on-line feedback form:
';May we explain that Langkawi, Malaysia is not an internet city. Its
infrastructure is not able to service internet bookings or internet checkin
at the moment.
Please approach your perferred travel agents or our SilkAir office';
I am not quite sure what this means - We can book other tickets on AirAsia as mentioned in and out of Langkawi online quite happily?
Well, I have e-mailed them again.. We are flying home (LHR) from Singapore as well. Guess we could have done our trip the other way and gone down Malaysia finishing in KL instead of in Langkawi but it%26#39;s a bit late now..
Looking forward to it anyway!
They really give you this answer?????
Langkawi, Malaysia is not an internetcity!
Well its even not a city its an island!!! But anyway doesn%26#39;t hae anything to do with Langkawi but with there system.
Langkawi has a good infrastructure and a lot of internetposibilities so for me this is really a strange answer!
Anyway, good luck and let me know how things are going!
Kind regards from Langkawi
