Family Accommodation - Langkawi

Hi

My husband and I am thinking of going to Langkawi next year on holiday with our family. Two children of 3 and 6. I would like to book a hotel with either a villa or a hotel room that will sleep all four of us. This is proving difficult, its usually one child only, or interconnecting rooms. I feel our children are two young for this option. We went to Thailand last year and had a great family room with a mezzaine level. Any ideas anyone, it would be much appreciated. Also we were thinking of July, what is the weather like around then.

Look forward to hearing from you all.

Thank you.

Family Accommodation - Langkawi

Hello,

Glad that you will be choosing Langkawi as your next destination. Children below 12 years old are normally allowed to sleep and breakfast with their parents, extra charges occur when you order a extra bed. I would suggest that you contact the hotels directly and asking them to clarify this, and to choose a larger room in case they should sleep with you. There are hotels that offer facilities such as babysitting and childrens pool. I reccommend that you check out these following hotels: Westin, Casa del Mar and Meritius Pelangi.

Weather in July is normally ok, with occasional rain showers in the afternoon and night. The rainy season has already started at the moment, and will continue till early November. It rains quick and heavy, but it clears up after an hour or so. Compared to the intolerable hot weather we had during chinese new year (February), it is really much more comfortable at the moment with the rain showers, as they cool the temperature by a few degrees, and its really better for the skin.

Happy planning and cheers!

Family Accommodation - Langkawi

Hi ! Langkawi is a lovely place......May end June is probably a better time. We are just back from Langkawi.

Stayed at the Holiday Villa. I really think it is one of the best places to take kids %26amp; stay. Big kiddies pool, entertainment for them in the restaurants %26amp; by the poolside etc.Safe %26amp; clean beach. Nice grassy football ground right on the beach etc.

Check out the suites. Might be what you are looking for with regards to sleeping arrangments. There were lots of families with children when we were there.

I am also planning to go back, but with the kids, next May.

Hope this post helps......Have fun planning !!

Hi,

June, july, august almost the same weather!

What sort of luxury do you want? There is so much possible especially for families! 3,4,5 stars or boutique resorts or private villa, appartment or bungalow!

Please let me know and I can give you some options!

kind regards from Langkawi

Hi

I have booked a family cabana for myself and two kids at the Mutiara Burau Resort for this July. It has seperate bedroom and lounge. I believe the lounge has two fold down beds or bed setees. Either way, we will have four beds. There are some reviews of the resort on this forum and most seem to be of the opinion that it is a good resort for kids. I will write a report when I get back.

Gary

Gary,

The family cabana%26#39;s at Mutiara have a double bed and a fold down couch in the lounge. Only one couch.

If you need extra they also have matresses available, they charge around 50RM per night extra though.
