Are you planning on going just to Langkawi? My wife and I went to Malaysia last year but we booked flights and hotels on our own. We went to KL, Langkawi and Perhentian and that worked out great. I will send you the trip reports as a private message :-)

I always find Virgin are pretty cheap from the Uk and I always ask for a further 拢500 off through my regular travel agent when booking so I get a good saving. They do Langkawi in their worldwide brochure.

Take a peek at Travel Counsellors or Airline network..

Book it yourself over the internet. Find the best priced flights and then use Tripadvisor to suss out the best hotels and resorts and book direct. We did KL and Langkawi last summer. This is a great combination. You can fly to Langkawi from KL with Air Asia for next to nothing (and you can book that from the comfort of your own armchair as well).

Try Simply Malaysia (google it) prices and helpfulness excellent

for KL to Langkawi travel, try airasia.com My roundtrip flight from KL airport (via LCCT) to Langkawi this coming April is just around US$ 50. Plan early and book in advance.

I%26#39;m off to Langkawi in a week and spend ages researching cheapest prices etc. and found the following:

compare flights on opodo and www.kayak.co.uk - Kayak is best for indications but I still got it cheaper on Malaysia Airlines website direct - I%26#39;ve ended up booking the flight sectors (i.e. London - KL and KL to Langkawi seperately and I saved over 拢150).

Asiarooms is a good classic for bargain hotels in this part of the world but to be honest, with both flights and hotels, check dial-a-flight. They couldn%26#39;t beat my flights prices (normally do tho!) but always undercut the hotels.

Im going to langkawi for a week in September as part of my honeymoon and spent ages researching prices and spent hours and hours looking around! i wanted to stay at the datai and the four seasons and Destinology were by far the cheapest! I would seriously consider giving them a call to get some quotes and try a bit of haggling aswell!

Having said that, like most other reviews I too would recommend booking ur KL to Langkawi flights separately with airasia who also seem to be the cheapest for this.
