3 nights in KL - best shopping/sites to see?

Hey!

Staying for 3 nights in KL after staying 10 nights in Bali! Staying at the Rennaisance.

Was hoping for some ideas on best things to see and do in the three days thats not TOO far away!?

Would love a day shopping... my boyfriend likes his designer Ralph Lauren etc... and im happy with any girly shops (we are both early 20%26#39;s!) any ideas where is best?

Then would love some suggestions of sights to see or other things to do?? and prices of them if you know them?!

Thanks in advance xx

3 nights in KL - best shopping/sites to see?

Hi,

I think you will enjoy shopping @ Sg Wang(cheap clothings, gadgets etc), Lot 10(average priced clothings) and Starhill Galery(branded goods including original Polo Ralph Lauren boutique). These 3 shoppping centres are within walking distance from one another.

Apart from that, you can go to 1 utama (transportation problem, best to take taxi) for shopping where there are different range of shopping variation. For sight seeing, you may try to go on KL Tower for day view, or if you enjoy quiet bar I would strongly suggest Luna Bar(located at Pan Global building) where you can have an excellent night view of KL.

I hope this helps. Please PM me if u need more information.

Hi,

Sungei Wang Plaza has nice cheap clothes. Starhill has upmarket designer wear. Ralph Lauren is here and at One Utama.

You ought to check out Petaling street i.e our Chinatown for night market, souvenirs, and designer knock-offs.

For sightseeing, go to KLCC. You can also get tickets to go to the bridge. KL Tower is also nice for the ovreall view of KL skyline.

Hi, as it is just across the road from Rennaisance, you may wish to pop over to the Visitors Information Centres-as besides providing tourist information, you can also do some money exchanging(e..g changing Rupiah to Ringgit Malaysia) or withdraw cash from Maybank ATM.

Have a simple local food at Saloma at their airy al fresco dining area. In the evening, in their air -conditioned dining hall, they provide a dinner theatre cultural dance performance.

You may also wish to check out the dance club of Zouk, which is only less than 10 minutes distant by walking from your hotel.

Locality of Renaissance puts you in a strategic position in relation to using the monorail (Bukit Nanas) and LRT (Dang Wangi) to move around KL.

To reach the Petronas Twin Towers, you could hot foot, which will take about 10-15 minutes on a relaxed pace, otherwise, go to Dang WAngi LRT station and one stop to KLCC LRT station. Alternatively, hop onto the Rapid KL city shuttle, which costs RM2/pax for unlimited rides per day.

They do a loop which can take you to KL shopping district, which is Bukit Bintang.

Another sight, which offer panaromic views of KL city skyline, will be KL Tower (Menara KL)- about 20 minutes distant by walking from your hotel.

At the location where the Bukit Nanas monorail station is located, you will find Hard Rock Cafe, and further along this stretch of road, are several bars and pub, which extends upto a road, known as Jalan P.Ramlee, where Beach Club is located, further up Beach Club, are more eateries, bars %26amp; pubs, and this road will leads you to the Twin Tower(Ramlee Mall ).

As for the infamous polo insignia, the boutique is in the department store of Isetan in Suria KLCC (the shopping mall below the Twin Towers).

An experience in Chinatown (reach here by LRt from Dang Wangi to Pasar Seni LRT station) and also Central Market, will complement your staying experience in KL.

Hi

For a more upmarket shopping mall you should check out Suria KLCC. I found MidValley megamall to be quite nice and you can reach that by shuttle bus or train. Apart from that you should check out Batu caves, Petronas twin towers, KL tower, Petaling street etc :-)

I%26#39;ll send you a private message with my trip report from last year so that you can get some more info :-)

regards
