KL & Langkawi trip with children

Hi - we are going to be travelling to KL %26amp; Langkawi in early Aug. We are staying at Park Royal KL and Holiday Villa Langkawi - what should we see and do with two boys (8 %26amp; 11)?

In KL, I%26#39;d take them to the Aquaria in KLCC. There%26#39;s also an indoor theme park at Berjaya Times Square or an outdoor one at Sunway Lagoon.

As for Langkawi, I%26#39;d take them to the Underwater World. Skip the Crocodile Farm. It%26#39;s a bit rundown. Enjoy the beach.

Overall, it%26#39;s pretty hot here in KL so doubt kids wanna do anything outdoors. Toys, PS2 and PSP games are extremely cheap. But don%26#39;t buy these in KLCC as it%26#39;s over priced. Instead go to other departmental stores in KL.

Thanks for your feedback. Do they have any beach activities for the kids, ie jet-ski, banana boat etc, at Holiday Villa in Langkawi? Also is the snorkelling at Palau Payar suitable for children? In KL would the Malaysian Eye be good for to see? is there a particular store which sells brands, ie. billabong, etc. Also, are MP3 ect cheaper in KL?

There should be water sports at the beach. Do so at your own risk as some are private operators. Dunno about Pulau Payar, though.

Yes, do go to the KL Eye, KLCC (there%26#39;s a sky bridge), KL Tower. It%26#39;s pretty hot here so doubt if your kids wanna go outdoors.

Am mum to 2 boys (8 and 9), and my boys like buying the PS2 games as well as the PSP. MP3 player and other electrical goods cheap in KL. Apart from souvenirs, don%26#39;t shop in Langkawi. Even though duty -free, can be expensive.

As for Billabong, have seen these shops in many departmental stores in KL. But if you are interested, check out Petaling Street in the evenings. It%26#39;s our chinatown nightmarket. Loads of clothes, bags, shoes etc. Some knock off designer brands i.e fakes but great shopping. You are allowed to bargain and haggle the price. BTW, also seen lots of Billabong stuff there!

As mentioned already: KL aquarium, the roller coaster inside times square shopping mall, Petrosains in Petronas twin towers, KL Tower etc. In Langkawi we checked out underwater world and we went snorkeling at Payar.
