What are the best things to see & do in 4hrs?

Hi, I%26#39;ll be bringing a big group of international friends to Langkawi in about 10 days and am planning a 4hr tour. What can you recommend that they see and/or do within that time? Would love for them to experience the magic and charm of Langkawi especially its villages and to connect with some of the locals. Many thanks

What are the best things to see %26amp; do in 4hrs?

You are here just for 4 hours?

Ride a bicycle through river banks, paddy fields and forest in a 3 hour trip. You will experience Langkawi from a total different point of view and you will be surprised what you will meet on the way and during various stops.

or junglewalk?

or do you mean a tour by car?

What are the best things to see %26amp; do in 4hrs?

we%26#39;re there for a few days but will do a 4hr tour by bus. since time is limited wanted to make sure my guests get to experience the best island has to offer. we%26#39;re staying at The Datai so was thinking of starting off at Temurun Falls, then heading to Cable Car, Rice Museum (Laman Padi), Underwater World and lastly lunch at Bon Ton. appreciate any ideas/feedback!

Thanks

I should advise from Datai (not Temerun falls they can walk through it when they want to) at the end of the road go left and visit Langkawi Craft Center, then Gunung Raya (amazing views), Matsirat visit the burn rice field, Cablecar, Seven Wells another lunch option in this neighbourhood and it is wonderful is the Loaf the japanese backery and bistro owned by Dr M ( he isn%26#39;t ther)

the lunches are wonderful! Its just an opportunity!

Is the lunch including in the 4 hours otherwhise I have other options

Cable Car, Rice Museum, Underwater World and lunch at Bon Ton.

You are really going to be pushed to do this in 4 hrs. I%26#39;d give Underwater World a miss, you can visit KL Aquarium anytime.

Definately don%26#39;t do Temurun Waterfall as part of your 4 hr tour, you can get someone from The Datai to take you there anytime during your 4 days at the resort.

Are you doing this as part of an organised tour, or are you renting a minibus ? There is no public transport on Langkawi.

I can also recommend the Japanese Bakery at Telaga Harbour.

The food is good, the location is very pretty and its not very far from Jalan Datai.

another vote for cable car. It%26#39;sa must. And try to squeeze an eagle square visit in the trip to see langkawi%26#39;s symbol.

don%26#39;t visit any of the waterfalls ...

hi,

Depending on the size of your group, why not contact Tour East there, I%26#39;m sure they will be able to assist you as they have vehicles and guides.

Their email address is telgk@toureast.com.my They can pick you up at the airport and dro you back there afterwards if that%26#39;s your requirement....

Hi B. Lee, in respect of what you have in mind, and a thread advice, give Underwater World a miss.

Whilst in Datai, in between, organise a team building centered on nature trails in the Datai with their in house naturalist, which can then be complemented with visit of Temurun waterfall.

Then on that particular day with 4 hours

first on agenda- cable car, then craft cultural complex, and since your wish for them to connect with locals- Padang Mat Sirat, and Kampung Tok Senik, then off for lunch---maybe you wish instead of Bon Ton, consider Barn Thai, so they have an experience walking on boardwalk through mangrove swamps before reaching the restaurant.

Have a nice time.

Wow, I like the sounds of Barn Thai... is that near the Andaman Hotel?

Sorry Ledge

Barn Thai is at the other side of the island, about 45 min drive from the Anderman. I can give you telephone numbers etc if you want them.

As probably already mentioned, there is nothing near the Anderman except The Datai.
