Waht to Buy n Must Do in KL & Penang

I am travelling with my family to KL,Genting n Penang from 2 june to 9 june 2007.This is my first trip to Malaysia everybody pl advise on what to do n what to buy in these places.I will be staying at berjayain KL ,thempark resort in genting n bayview resort in Penang.

Everyone pl advise.all comments most welcome.

Waht to Buy n Must Do in KL %26amp; Penang

a). What to do:-

(i)KL- Batu Caves, KL Tower, Twin Towers, Fireflies tour(Kampung Kuantan or Kampung Belimbing), Lake Gardens and sights in this vicinity (e.g. Deer park, bird park, orchid and hisbiscus garden, butterfly garden), KLCC park, nature trial in Bukit Nanas forest reserve

Shopping in Bukit Bintang area,as there are quite a handful of shopping malls (including Berjaya Times Square).

Enjoying rides in the indoor amusement park in Berjaya Times Square (Cosmos World).

(ii)Genting - more rides in the indoor and outdoor theme parks.

Trying lady luck in the casino. Depending on your mode of transfer from KL to Genting, you may have opportunity for a brief cable car ride (skycable)

(iii).Penang- Penang Hill, Heritage trail with Penang Heritage Trust to see few architectural sights (e.g. Khoo Kongsi, Blue Mansion, Mosques, and CHinese and Indian temples), Pinang Peranakan Mansion, Tropical Spice Garden.

Enjoying Penang infamous local hawkers%26#39; fare at Guerney Drive, and/or New Lane.

b). What to Buy

Sadly your trip shall be about 2 weeks prior to Malaysia%26#39;s Mega Carnival Sale.

Few well known local product- Selangor /Temasek Pewter, batik attire,weaved pandanus products, crafted wood ornaments(from shop: ARch)-a good place to see Malaysian local products is in Pasar Seni (Central Market) in KL.

In Penang-local foodstuff- nutmeg snacks, local biscuits(e.g.Hiam Hiang)-many of these can be found in Chowrasta Market(along Penang Road).

And maybe a replica of the TWin Towers, T-shirts.

Do have an enjoyable time in Malaysia.
