Pulau Tiga

I am going to Borneo in a week or so. Sounds like it will be great!! Am thinking of going to Pulau Tiga for the sights although it is a bit out of mur budget. Is there a cheaper way to get to Kuala Penyu from KK other than the $120 MY which the tour companies charge?

What sort of experience did you have on Pualu Tiga-just wondering if it is a bit sensationalised from Survivor!?

I think it will be a good experience nevertheless - but don%26#39;t go because it was a Survivor island. Go for the coral, the MUD VULCANO, diving, snake island or any of the other things that make it great.

You can probably take a public bus, or a mini taxi (perhaps a series of) to get there - I%26#39;m not convinced there are regular scheduled though, which will work out oodles cheaper than the convenience of a tour company transfer.

Will keep my ears open for anything more helpful.

Thanks Eastofwest. Looking forward to good food, interesting experiences, good snorkelling-hope the weather is OK. Wish we had a few more weeks to see everything in Borneo but 2 is all we have.
