Sheraton, Westin or Casa Del Mar for honeymoon

Hi.

Thanks for all your help with my other posts. Now Im down to these three choices for my honeymoon. In principle I would get the Sea facing room in Casa Del Mar and if I was staying in the other hotels, the 600 ringit or abotu rooms in Sheraton or Westin.

Which one should I book?

Also, I will be renting a car. How easy will it be to go out to eat in a different restauraunt every evening from each of these hotels

I would say if you want to be able to get out and about and eat out easily your best bet would be the Casa Del Mar, lots of restaurants within walking distance, and very easy to hire a car.

Hi Dawood83

Which hotel do YOU think you should book?

Eventually it will hinge on what you think, so best to go with your own instincts rather than relying totally on what other people%26#39;s expectations are.

My instincts have narrowed ths choiue down to three hotels. This is the silliest response I have seen%26gt; I have never been to Langwaki therefore Im asking from people who have. What else is the point of this forum?

Hi dawood83,

As you have not been to Langkawi, may I share these following little thoughts to assist in your dinal decision.

And for your benefit, I have stayed in all three in countless holidaying in Langkawi.

I will in order of preference choose

1.Casa del Mar

2. Sheraton Langkawi Beach;

3. Westin-though Westin is actually a revamped of previous Sheraton Perdana, so room wise, quality of furnishings, competency level of service personnel-these which make an impact on one%26#39;s quality of staying experience-I am not in a position to comment, but will take it from its locality perspective.

Starting from #3- locality-it is a grand hotel, if one wants to be in close proximity to Kuah town and the jetty. It is THE hotel in Kuah town. Not much of a shoreline.

As for #2, depending on your room location, getting to main lobby, requires a buggy. I personally like an F%26amp;B outlet close to green foliage and perched on a cliff. Rooms furnishings are mediocre- abit tired already during my stay. Pool size-unattractive,and walkway to pool-poorly maintained. Beach is slightly coarse and not well maintained (';lawned';).

One is closer to Cable Car, Telaga Harbour, and also Oriental Village. (Telaga Waterfall is closed).

Casa Del Mar- a gem in the likes of a boutique hotel where attention to details are heed in amenities, furnishings, and competency level of service personnel, along the happening place of Langkawi- Pantai Cenang, where car rental, motorcycles rental, island hopping boat trips, marine park arrangements can all be done with ease of convenience, and many eateries of different cuisines are here, upto Pantai Tengah.

Your inert instincts after searching in TA forums, Casa del Mar and those respective websites, have may you inclined towards Casa del Mar. Though very Spanish in name to reflect its architecture, you may feel at home if opportunity arises for you to interact with one of its key personnel.

Pelangi seems a bit more expensive than Casa Del Mar so didnt look into it any further

I loved Casa del Mar and think it would be a lovely place for a honeymoon. It is small and the attention to detail is magnificent. I felt very pampered there.

Having said that, I have no idea about Sheraton, Westin or Pelangi (yet) so I%26#39;m not really in a position to compare.

I got married at the Casa del Mar last year on the beach and we spent art of our honeymoon there. Amazing place and the attention to detail is exceptional. Would recommend it hands down, so much so we are back in ten days for our 1st anniversary.

Just had 11 nights at Casa del Mar - it was wonderful. The previous reports are correct about the level of service. The management and staff are so friendly and will really look after you. The evenings are so romantic and it is lovely to dine on the beach under the stars. Also, you have the choice to walk along the road and dine at lots of other restaurants. Wherever you choose, enjoy your honeymoon.
