Any decent 4/5 star hotels with family rooms? Preferably within Golden Triangle area.

It depends what you mean by a family room. We have a 3 yr old which slept with us in a huge king size bed and a cot for our 1 year old at the wonderful JW Marriot in KL . The service was perfect. It was luxurious and I booked it as it was connected to starhill gallery so that the kids can have some running space./ They have entertainment every night. If you have older kids, you can get interconnecting rooms with twin beds ( they are not twin queen) and leave the connecting door open so that you can still see the kids. They rent out strollers free of charge and plenty of high chairs for breakfast. We paid AUD150/room/night with breakfast buffet and were very very happy with them.They gave great advice and location wise , its perfect although there is construction just opposite - just aske for a room higher then level 15

I stayed at the Ascott last year and that was pretty good. I traveled to KL with a colleague and we had a two bedroom apartment and there was lots of space :-)

What do you like to do around the hotel with your kids and what do you prefer in terms of facilities and room combination. I would advise you against staying in JWW Marriot. The rooms are very small and its not children friendly, eps the Deluxe room bathrooms. Area is very, very busy, there has been cases of missing/kidnapped children around Bintang Walk, well, in busy areas in KL at least.

Try the Crown Plaza Mutiara. The hotel is great for kids and families, and they have a very good selection of breakfast food.
