Hi people im changing my schedule now for my holiday, at first was going to fly via Singapore airlines to Bali, then stopover in Singapore and take a coach to KUL. Now im thinking of London to KUL for 6 nights, then from KUL to Bali for 1 weeks and then from Bali to Singapore for 1 week.
The main flight from London to Kul and then Singapore to London will prob be with emirates airlines. But internal flights is what ive been looking at.
Air Asia is the cheapest airline flying to bali, well of course being low cost and all, but the price to Bali from KUL works out to be 拢37 which is such a bargin! The only problem is Luggage! We are coming from London and going for a 3 week holiday, so we are bound to have heavy baggage, in addition we will be coming from KUL so must have stocked up on some shopping!!
Has anyone flown the KUL to Bali route with Air asia? Or had any luggage problems etc? Any information will be great!
The next cheapest flight i found was with Singapore airlines from KUL to Den (via singapore) which works out 1 way at 拢122. Cheaper then Malaysia airlines, which was a suprise?
Im going to skip the idea of the coach journey from singapore to KUL. As i feel it would be nice to visit a city then go for a relaxing beach break in bali and then head to a city again, instead of goin gto bali and then doing the two cities at once. In addition we will be visiting each destination with out the need of going back to the destiantion to catch a returning flight etc, and therofre wasting any days!
Thanks people!
Kul to Bali with Air Asia?
Hi,
Air Asia allows only 15kgs of check in luggage. Hand baggage is at 6kgs. How are you flying from Bali to Singapore? If you get a cheaper ticket with SIA to Bali, then go for it as SIA allows 20kgs at least and is a great airlines than even Emirates cannot live up to.
Kul to Bali with Air Asia?
Hi many thanks for the reply
Well from Bali to Singapore i was thinking of Jet Star Asia, as they are offering great value for money! For example its costing 拢95 for flights with that airline. Otherwise its 拢135 with Singapore airlines!
What concerns me is that the low cost airlines wont let us bored as we will have so much shopping from KUL in out luggage lol It will be very heavy lol
Hi ,
I knew Jetstar flies the Singapore and Bali route but they are usually as pricey as schedule airlines, :-)
Are the fares for reverse direction of Singapore - Bali - KL muhc higher for your travel period in the budget airlines? Otherwise KL as last leg may be better as shopping is generally cheaper than Singapore.
You won%26#39;t have problem boarding with your heavy luggage if you pay the excess baggage.
Hi doopwoop,
As you know thats exactly what I have done and have flights booked from Kuala Lumpur to Bali and the Bali to Singapore via Jetstar. i would advise booking the Jetstar flights as soon as else thier prices do increase nearer the time.
I found that Qatar Airways also fly to Bali from Kuala Lumpur for a bargain price of about 拢100, and of course you wouldnt have any issues with luggage, but then your Singapore trip would be separate. Unless you can get flights from London that fly into Kuala Lumpur and return from Singapore?
I booked flights to Bali with Air Asia as I figured I would do most of my shopping in Bali and on the return flight with Jetstar I wouldnt have an issue as they allow 20kilos.
HTH!
Check the Air Asia website for extra baggage charge, and estimate how much luggage you will be bringing, the arrive at the total cost.
Remember to add in airport tax also.
With that then you can compare against other airlines.
SQ allows 20kg, and if you do carry a lot, 20kg may not be enough too :-p
Thanks for all the information people!
Its all been a big help!
Thanks!
