Ex Borneo Tours - KLIAS Wetlands River tour

Hi, I%26#39;m planning on going on the KLIAS Wetlands river tour with ExBorneo. Has anyone been with this tour operator before, or on this particular tour? It%26#39;s working out at nearly £40 per person (249 RM from Rasa Ria hotel) so I want to make sure it%26#39;s worth it!

Did this tour in april from STAR and enjoyed it, but the proboscis monkeys can be pretty hard to spot and they move on quickly when they see you, - we did see quite a few though. Not alot of other things to see except for the fireflies when it gets dark. The travelling took 1.5hrs each way from STAR so it will be a good couple of hours each way from Rasa Ria, and the meal wasn%26#39;t that great.

£40 each sounds expensive, I think we payed around £25 each, but can%26#39;t be sure.

I have done this trip on all 4 of my trips to Sabah.

Last March I used Borneo Eco Tours http://www.borneoecotours.com/ and it was the best yet. We got within a few feet of the Proboscis Monkies and saw lots of the very common long tail monkies. You will see these at the Rasda Ria without much effort. It was new jumping off point to those previously used and had good facilities.

That all said, the monkeys can be a bit hit and miss, they are after all wild animals. Don%26#39;t expect a gourmet meal but it is OK.

Also last trip it poured down and we all got soaked, but that was part of the fun. It wasn%26#39;t cold.

The trip to the start point is interesting as you get to see smaller towns, rural areas, lots of Palm Oil Plantations and the occaisional water buffalo etc.

The return trip is at night so you don%26#39;t get to see much in rural areas.
