Sunset Beach Resort

I%26#39;ve booked the Sunset Beach Resort for 5 nights in July and I am now getting a little worried as the last review dates back to April and the ones before that even further.

Can anyone tell me more. Perhaps someone has stayed there recently and not written a review?

I looked at Pelangi Beach resort and decided not to stay there. Have I made the wrong decision?

Sunset is a nice place, beautiful garden peaceful and relax and everything closeby . Sunset 2 bungalow is lovely in Balinese style!

It should not be much of a problem.If you are looking for peace and quite, this the place to be. Try sunset 1 rooms. Cost bit more but good. Sunset 2 rooms are ok but not all are well maintained ESPECIALLY ROOM 148 and sunset 3 are the smaller units. Don%26#39;t expect much from the breakfast as its simple and doesn%26#39;t have much variety. Evenings when its time for a good cold beer, just next door is Oasis. Good food and good cold beer.

Why should he have another look at the Pelangi? What will be different? Have you reduced the cost of your rooms??

I guess not and you should realise that your rooms are too expensive for a lot of people who use this board.

I believe that the OP of this topic asked specifically on the reviews of the Sunset Beach Resort. And hence an answer should be provided for this question. The OP did not ask for an alternative to the Sunset Beach Resort. If he/she did, then it would be appropriate for Mr. Francois to suggest his hotel namely the Pelangi Resort. Which I do not see as an alternative simply because the prices at Pelangi are approx 4x more expensive.

I have seen Mr. Francois fishing for customers from this forum one two many times only for my postings to be deleted by the management of TA. May I suggest to the readers of this forum to be very careful on certain reviews given by certain individuals.

And to answer the OP%26#39;s question, I have stayed at Sunset Beach Resort and it is indeed a very nice hotel to stay at. The location is also wonderful and a small walk to Cenang Beach. So you basically get the best of Cenang and Pantai Tengah beaches.

dear Edge, I am sorry but Sunset 2 are the better rooms as I advice to Young Traveller. He booked already and I just give him the advise so if he wants to he can ask for that one.

I recently stayed at Sunset Beach Resort (end of May 2007) and I don%26#39;t think I%26#39;ll be returning. Found cleanliness in the room rather suspect and the bathroom sink had a bad leak. Bed was old and breakfast very basic. The rates are reasonable but have to say, you get what you pay for.

The last post about the poor cleanliness of the room may worry the original poster.

Sunset Beach Resort is small and lovely. If occasionally the room you get is lousy or not cleaned properly, complain to the reception for a change of room or do immediate cleaning.

This is the case for staying in hotels. Sometimes even the best hotels may have poor cleanliness by occasional sloppy cleaners.
