If you%26#39;re into marathons, there%26#39;s one coming up in Penang on 24 June 2007.
To all who have been, which hotel is best to stay? And with easy access (either via walking or shuttle bus provided) to the starting point of the race at 2am!!!
Is Cititel Penang good? Clean? Efficient service?
Thanks in advance!
Penang Bridge Run!
This is the Penang Bridge Run you are referring to? There are no hotels withing easy reach of the bridge. You will definitely need a taxi at that hour - I dread to think how much you will be charged! Citytel is a decent enough hotel although I have never stayed there. The one in Megamall PJ is small but clean and pleasant. I doubt if any hotels in Pg offer shuttle service for the Bridge run.
Hope you find your way ok.
Penang Bridge Run!
Hi There,
Had stayed at Cititel Penang before. Business class %26amp; clean. Near town. My friend is participating - I%26#39;ll ask him about the transport.
Why don%26#39;t you stay at Vistana Hotel, Bukit Jambul? Near to Pg Bridge and you can get your taxi to get you to the Pg Bridge.
Vistana Hotel, Bukit Jambul is about 10 mins from the Pg Bridge. Much easier than staying at Cititel in downtown Georgetown.
You should be staying around the Bayan Baru/Bukit Jambul area - 3 hotels come to mind - Vistana, The Equatorial, and the budget Hotel Seri Malaysia. All within 10 mins drive to the Pg Bridge.
